Big Star Creations is delighted to present one of the greats of British football on day two of the 2026 World Cup. Peter Shilton is regarded by some as the greatest goalkeeper ever to play for England. What cannot be disputed, though, is the fact he was capped more times for his country than any other England player – with 125 international appearances. Shilton will appear at the beautiful venue of Hockley House in Warwickshire to recall stories and characters from his great career, including experience of playing in three World Cups. On the 40th anniversary of the infamous ‘Hand of God’ – when the tainted genius Diego Maradona scored with his hand to help eliminate England from the 1986 World Cup – Shilton will detail his recollections of Maradona, that match and so much more that also included two European Cup wins with Nottingham Forest under the genius manager Brian Clough. This is a rare opportunity to dine with a footballing legend, get a photo with him, get something signed and sit back and enjoy his stories. Richard Sydenham will MC the evening.
