Aston Villa won their first English League Championship title in 71 years in 1981. Here we have a unique retro image of thew BBC Ceefax screen showing Villa’s special achievement, in a frame and signed by their inspirational striker from that campaign, Peter Withe. Withe, a year later, scored the only goal of the game when Villa won the European Cup against Bayern Munich.
