Midfield maestros Ricardo Villa and Osvaldo Ardiles became world famous in 1978 when they helped their native Argentina win the World Cup in their homeland. Soon after, both players signed for Tottenham Hotspur as manager Keith Burkinshaw looked to add some South American flair to his side. Their impact was almost immediate, they became club legends as Tottenham established themselves as one of the leading teams in England, going on to win two FA Cups in successive seasons in 1981 and 1982 and adding the UEFA Cup in 1984.
